KUBTEC Hosts Quarterly Breakfast Roundtable: Welcoming Returning Citizens into your Workforce – Governor Lamont Joins
Stratford, Connecticut - Thursday, July 7, 2022. On June 29th, KUBTEC was joined by the SW CT Manufacturing Partnership and Governor Ned Lamont for the Quarterly Breakfast Roundtable. This quarter was focused on gathering local manufacturers from across Connecticut to discuss welcoming returning citizens into the local workforce. KUBTEC also provided a tour and presentation of their facility and groundbreaking technology.
Helping re-entering citizens find a high-quality job is a no-brainer. These individuals are earning credentials while incarcerated and are ready to be connected with jobs once their sentence is finished. This greatly expands the talent pool for employers which is vital for industries like manufacturing where individuals are retiring at record numbers. We need to do everything we can to ramp up hiring across the state for this critical demographic. - Governor Ned Lamont
